Miguel del Valle President, and Members of the Board of Education Joyce Chapman Sulema Medrano Novak Paige Ponder Sendhil Revuluri Michael Scott, Jr. Elizabeth Todd-Breland Enclosed is a copy of the Agenda for the Board of Education Meeting to be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. The meeting will be held at CPS Loop Office, 42 West Madison Street, Garden Level, Board Room. Board meetings will adhere to the current COVID-19 safety guidance and protocols and are now mask-optional. The Board President and the Chief Executive Officer have determined that registered speakers who wish to present during Public Participation may have the option to participate in person at the location of the Board meeting or virtually via an electronic platform. The public will have access to the meeting via live stream at cpsboe.org. Interim Guidelines have been issued by the President of the Board of Education of the City of Chicago in accordance with Board Rule 2-4.1. These Interim Guidelines are effective July 26, 2021. During the period they are in effect, these Interim Guidelines supersede the Public Participation Guidelines issued August 28, 2013 (rev. September 13, 2018). These Interim Guidelines are available on www.cpsboe.org and attached to this notice. For the October 26, 2022 Board Meeting, advance registration to speak will be available beginning Monday, October 24th at 10:30 a.m. and will close on Tuesday, October 25th at 5:00 p.m., or until all slots are filled. Advance registration during this period is available by the following methods: Online: www.cpsboe.org (recommended) Phone: (773) 553-1600 To ensure equity of access to address the Board, an individual may not speak at two (2) consecutive Regular Board Meetings. In the event an individual registers to speak at a consecutive Regular Board Meeting, the individual will not be called to address the Board. The Public Participation segment of the meeting will begin following the CEO Remarks and proceed for no more than 30 registered speakers for one hour. Registered speakers will receive instructions for Public Participation. Members of the public may submit written comments for Board of Education meetings via the Written Comments Form on the Board’s website at www.cpsboe.org or mailed to 1 N Dearborn, Suite 950. Written comments received between the day the public agenda is posted through 5 p.m. the day after the Board of Education meeting will be submitted to the Board and posted within five (5) business days on our website at www.cpsboe.org.
