Transportation & Mobility This committee handles reviews and discusses information related to city-owned airports, aviation, bridges, harbors and river and lake travel, as well as public transportation and limousine and taxi operations. It also oversees city business related to the Department of Port Control, the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority and the Cleveland-Cuyahoga Port Authority. The Committee shall review the financial stability and operation of the City‘s transportation enterprise funds, examine regional transportation policies of area-wide agencies such as GCRTA and NOACA and how they impact the City; and oversee planning and development efforts for multi-modal transportation operations and infrastructure, including rail and bikeways.

Cleveland City Council is the legislative branch of the government of the City of Cleveland in Ohio. There are 17 elected Cleveland City Council members representing the 17 wards of the City of Cleveland. Each ward has approximately 25,000 residents. Council Members are elected to serve a four-year term. Council members serve two roles in their duties: to draft and enact legislation for the city of Cleveland and act as ombudsmen for their constituents.
