The mission of the Citizens Police Oversight Commission (CPOC) is to serve the community by helping to improve the relationship between the police and the community.

CPOC:

  • Analyzes the policies, practices, and customs of the Philadelphia Police Department
  • Reviews police department policies and procedures
  • Holds public meetings to discuss issues around police matters
  • Provides recommendations on how to improve the police department with the mayor, city managing director, and police commissioner
